In reply to Post #12 Me neither, 100% confident in crimps, so long as done correctly using the right size crimp on the right material 👍🏻

In reply to Post #6 Agreed , when I started using crimps , I could pull them through with a bit of force, someone on here told me that no way that amount of force could be applied in a fishing situation. Lost a good fish in the margin when the 25lb boom pulled through the crimp ! Now I crimp and apply a lot of force , they don't moved at all and back confident in them again !

In reply to Post #1 I've stop using Krimps when I learn perfection loop knot. You can adjust size of the loops and not needing extra bits in the tackle box.

The key to mastering Krimps, is pulling it to a sensible tension afterwards - not pulling it till it breaks.
I hold the puller tools out in front of me with my elbows by my side so there is only soo much i can generate - when started testing krimps i'd hold the boom across my stomach, elbows flared and pull as hard as i could and it would just slip/give which is not realistic of the load thats going to be exerted in a fishing situation.

In reply to Post #1 I’ve used the 20lb for a few years on Spinners, I much prefer it to the 25lb version plus I’ve always crimped it with no issues.

Any help appreciated here.
Does 20lb korda boom make for a good spinner rig boom section? And also what size crimps would people advise for this?
