Thanks all ones I have are 300g 12 inch by 16 inch 20 quid for 100. Maybe better off keeping and double bagging if need be. The amazon pictures show it holding screws proper misleading

They’re £1.49 for a 1kg bag and £1.99 for a 5kg bag. That’s why I use the 300 gauge bags at 11p each and double bag everything.

These are 300 gauge.

What gauge are the Ikea ones?

Bait works sell the bags they use for their own products, 1kg and 5kg they're in the gear section on their site.

I looked for heavy duy grip seal bags for years and coudn't find what I wanted- 400-500 gauge
300 gauge / 75 micron is roughly the same as Tesco's own brand click seal bags.- the middle of 'medium duty' polythene.
Would say that they are probably the better of the supermarket bags as in the security of the grips.

When I filled the freezer in the winter I used a heat sealer and plain 400 gauge bags

Just to add.
You could probably get 2kg in the 9”x14”.

Gemini reckons the 10”x18” may fit 5kg in. Depends on bait size.

I looked for bags a while back and there are heavy duty food ones available on eBay but they were expensive. I opted for grip seal bags but double bag everything. 11p for a 9”x14” bag. I’m only bagging in 1kgs so not sure if these are too small for you:

Looking for some that people have had that are proper thick high quality or similar type of bags the brands use. Bought some off Amazon said heavy duty but definitely aren't!
Thanks
