No idea why either doesn't have a simple thread or clip to semi fix the clear section and motor housing together . . .would improve the product 100% . . .returning mine!

I ended up buying a Β£12 one on amazon as it had better reviews. Like yours Belch the top doesn't lock down but at least it's separate to blades so no chance of cutting yourself. Decent size and it does at least have a charging light.

Probably won't last very long and with the faff of taking the top off and then the splash guard to fill probably quicker to just use the krusha πŸ˜‚.

O well was worth a punt and brings me back to the original question of a direct replacement to the OMC variant which this clearly isn't.

. . .first impressions on the Amazon jobbie - you get what you pay for! Cannot see this lasting more than a month . . .

a) Top section (motor) does not lock to bottom section with blade and clear 300ml cup section (so basically you need to hold the unit together when in use . . . .a bit dodge being honest (risk of chopping fingers)
b) USB charging but no charge light so no idea when its fully charged and / or needs charging (will work without powerpack)
c) Blade connection to powered rotating spigot is very loose - needs packing out with electrical tape to hold it in place / stop it wobbling about
d) Blades (although semi sharp) look like they might struggle with airdried boilies / pellet etc

Think I'm going to stick with my Krusha . . . or contribute to Ali's pension pot . . .

I always thought having round boilies was to achieve consistent results with a throwing stick. I have just become aware of the omc lock hook, has anyone used it? Any feedback on it? I won't touch omc products any more than I would kiss Ali's arse. I.e f!@#Β£%g never. Just wondered if they actually made a decent innovation.

You know what T, I didn't believe it either...but ....I was keeping a good eye out on Ebay at the twig, espesh after they got banned on a lot of waters, and the sales numbers by sellers don't agree that OMC are struggling to sell them, I was quite shocked tbh, wondering where are they all being used then. Same for that Lock hook, really good sales.

What actually happened was that we were talking about how appalling the twig thing was, and this guy then told me that they flew out, just like everything else he releases. No sales, no lies.

I dont really hate anyone but he makes himself come across as a complete clown. That ali g ******** he started doing is as cringeworthy as it gets and everything that wrong with carp fishing. One of the reasons why i hate it as much as i do. It cant sell that well as hes trying to flog most of it for half price on FB snd still cant shift it.

@RKB, I believe you πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ TBH, I think Ali is once again ahead of the game, targeting the yoof who are the future anglers, not the dwindling market that are the old timers (me inc). From what I've seen (and I've said this before) OMC are way ahead re short form vid promoting and that is what the younger generation seem to want. To be quite honest there's a lot of brand snobbery, which I personally dislike, but each to their own, they're your hard earned pennies 😎

I am not going to disbelieve someone in my local tackle shop who had absolutely zero reason to lie to me, vs a couple of Ali Hamidi haters on the internet. His stuff is popular, it’s easy to see why. Noddies probably.

This posts is being typed with tongue in cheek as I understand there IS a requirement for these things, but it makes me laugh a bit anyhow...

As somebody who used to roll a lot of bait, I always wanted to get them as round as possible.
Ever since then the angling manufacturers have given us lots of different ways to ruin those beautifully crafted spheres!
Korda Krusher
RidgeMonkey big ass grinder thing that sits on a bucket, lets ruin them in bulk!
Choppers to cut those spheres into halves (or almost equal halves)
and now finally we can reverse engineer these spheres back to the dust they started as!

If my intentions are to use powder I'll just take a grip seal bag with some of the base mix in...not buy a Β£70 grinder (and cart it around with me) just in case

It's not that it's sitting outside doing bait having to have a cable and battery pack etc with me. Hardly makes it portable or makes it like for like to the Bait mait etc.

Thanks anyways bought the amazon one to give a try not sure why my korda krusha did the job fine πŸ˜‚

The exact one I have seems to of disappeared, but this looks to be close. There are also some other smaller ones for a fiver which look like they will be fine for things like boilies too, but with a fairly fine stainless blade so not sure how they'd hold up with pellet.

It doesn't have to be similar looking, as long as it does the same thing. Which I know the thing I have does as it will chop up anything into a fine powder if you let it spin long enough, and it cost me about a tenner on temu. Having not seen the omc on in the flesh I can't say the capacity matches up, but I dont really see what a few grams difference either way will make. Paying Β£70 or whatever it is for a little electric grinder is madness imo

NGT

Crusher to get things started on tougher bits.
Transfer into electric one.

Job done.

OMC another shameless rip off.

You can't but then how do you quote that similar products can be bought for Β£10 online?

I've held the OMC one and there's multiple videos of it showing the capacity and function chopping boilies and pellets. No way would it crush pellets if the blade wasn't half decent.

I have looked at them myself and great little item to have if you dont want to grind manually with a korda crusher etc. People always quote there are Β£10 cheap versions online but I have yet to find such an item for similar size, battery capacity, blade quality etc. If someone could put some links in here please would be great

Only thing I like from OMC are their blend 25 tungsten putty (superb) and their mag/worm aligners (very expensive for what you get. If anyone knows of similar ones for cheaper anywhere, please let me know).

I wouldnt touch anything they make and why do you need a grinder to grind it up so fine?! Totally pointless. They have turned into the temu of tackle manufacturers. They even have a Β£10 monthly subscription now where you get a box of pure **** every 4 months.

Looks expensive....I'd rather wait until the missus has gone to work and just blitz a load of bait in her Magimix. Only advantage I can see is you can take this and do it on the bank, as and when you need it.
If it were a Dragons Den scenario I'd have to say; I'm out πŸ™
