Thank you everyone for your advice ended up using compressed air in a can to freeze the joint and wiggled it like the video and it walked itself out never been so relieved. Now my next question is how do I stop that happening again? I saw a suggestion of putting candle wax on the male part.

In reply to Post #3 I just tried that thank you. I put it in a vise and wrapped a length of rubber around it and the blank was twisting the joint wasnt moving. I literally have no idea how it is this tight makes no sense.

In reply to Post #1 Penetrating oil, i use WD40, let it sit for a couple of minutes. This happens to my landing net pole and in the past i've also put the joint between 2 bags of frozen peas and left it for 20 minutes, this combination has always worked for me.

In reply to Post #1 Have you tried twisting it slightly while pulling with rubber gloves on?
I had this happen once and the only way I could get it to separate was a slight twist and pull.

Forgot to mention I tried the behind the knee way and using your knees to push with your hands with and without rubber gloves.

I have a freespirit his rod that I cannot get apart. It happened at the lake I put it together noticed the two sections didnt line up tried to move them and wouldnt budge. At the lake I tried put the rod under the water for 30 minutes, put a bag of ice on the joint. Since I got home tried a heat gun, ice on the male side, used rubber gloves for grip me on one side wife on the other side, gently tapping the joint with a deadblow hammer and even tried taping a wooden block to one side and tapping it with the hammer. I am all out of ideas didnt know if anyone else had any suggestions.
