Iβve been using around 6 inches of 20lb Korda IQ2 for my turbo German rigs. Crimped at both ends with the xs crimps. Anti tangle sleeve and a small sinker to cover the bottom crimp. I have never had one tangle on the cast and am as certain I can be it resets if picked up. It also pulls pin straight between two puller tools. Not steaming required π

In reply to Post #10 I knot it mate with a figure of 8 loop, but Iβd imagine the Korda xs crimps will be fine π

In reply to Post #6 Do you knot or crimp? What knot, or what size crimps, maybe 0.6.
I have just got some based on your recommendation so it better be ok π§
Edit; 0.6 crimps are perfect ππ»

In reply to Post #6 Bought it too for leader material when using braid main line. Seems good and would make good boom material.

Iβve been using Korda IQ2 in 20lb with great success. Itβs fairly supple to sit over the contours of the lake bed but stiff enough to reset and kick away from the lead on casting. Iβve been using the XS Korda Krimps and 6β hooklink lengths π

In reply to Post #1 If you go on total fishing tackle they have avid outline Fluoro in 25lb for Β£1.99 a spool. Itβs fantastic stuff I use it for my booms for combi rigs and ronnies I canβt fault it. Iβve bought 10 spools to last me π

This stuff doesn't have the problems you mention:
Pole Position kick back boom & chod filament.
They are trading in the uk now, so you should be able to get it. Rather cheap too. I think compared to the amnesia mentioned and korda stuff you use, you should be aware this is much stiffer, which could either be an advantage or disadvantage for the rig you use.

Ive been using Kordas 25lb flurocarbon boom material for a while, even started using it in 35lb as Im sick of the 25lb twisting and losing its shape. Not even a kettle will fix it.
I wanted to ask for recommendations on alternative materials/providers that still offer good properties for resetting if/when the rig is picked up (which likely happens a lot) and pushes away from the lead.
I saw an ad for PB Products jelly wire. Has anyone used it or comment if this could be a suitable replacement?
I use the boom in conjunction with a Ronnie rig using the ESP Ronnie clips and also for a multi combi rig.
