In reply to Post #7 Thats an idea....
I think you are refering to the slot in section at the front of the barrow...?
Personally i dont use mine never saw need to.
The frame itself has no real options for drop in stuff.
Its covered by bracing struts.
Will check it out when i get home.
Thanx

In reply to Post #1 I still use my " Chub Outkast" Barrow on rare ocassions, the best way I found for carrying food and everthing else you mention along with cooking kit, even magazines etc was to get a large plastic storage box that fits in the big hole in the barrow where a strap in bag is supposed to fit.
The lip of the box will rest on the frame of the barrow and you just put the lid on.
When you get to your swim, you can just lift the box out and straight into the bivvy, or as its waterproof. leave it outside, and when you get home, straight into the kitchen for unpacking and washing all your cooking kit etc for the next trip.
The box will also double up as a bivvy table and if you get a clear box, you can find things in it quickly by just looking through the sides rather than rummaging from the top.
I even got a long narrow one for bait that fits in the frame above the wheel
In fact, just noticed my barrow predates the "Outkast", google brought up my Chub barrow rather than the "Outkast" one when I searched for it, but, the same ideas will probably work

Hi All
I dont have a massive car, and have a old but very collapsible fold flat barrow.
Its a Chub Outkast now long since discontinued.
I need to get a side pannier basically for general food / tins / milk / juice etc etc.
Can anyone either recommend or suggest someone who does such things
or
Can anyone recommend a similar fold flat barrow of some quality..
Kr
