I've never understood why the tackle companies don't monitor threads such as these and bring back products that are held in high regard.
Imagine being a fly on the wall at a Fox product meeting.
''Christ, have you seen how many people are raving over that net we used to sell? they're making a ton of money on eBay, we better bring back a Mk2 at a ridiculous price''

Got several Chris Brown nets, so easy to set up and take down. As well as super light and rigid.

The Korda Kaizen Green 2 piece is a great net. It's the easiest net to put together and break down that I ever had. Great with the spike on the end so you can push it into the bottom when you have caught a fish. Floating as well, so no need for a net float.
And the added bonus - I know I'm crazy - is the lovely sound it makes when you pull the two pieces of the handle apart.

I find the Chris Brown net nice and easy to get apart. Generally seems nets where the arms fit over the spigot are easier than those that fit inside.
Think Fox have just released a new version of the lever lock. Bit OTT for me but can see it being useful if you have a dodgy arm or shoulder

Still using the old trigger lock myself. I got lucky and found a complete original pole net and block on Ebay for £60 or so..the blocks alone are going/advertised around £40.

Dont get the Nash Scopes. I bought 2 to match my rods and they are horrible to fit together and take apart.

Trakker T8 and Korda kaizen green both very easy, also my ancient jrc specialist 36 inch.

New Fox Lever-Lok net looks easy to collapse if you struggle with the elbow method . . .bring back the Hutchy Spring Lok . . . !

I had an X-Lite Roamer years ago, decent and cheap too. Problem was it was marketed as ultra-slim/lightweight but it weighed a ton (compared to more modern nets anyway). Possibly why they stopped making it?

Buy a good net. not a Nash Scope, decent quality, assembling the net, rhubarb!
I have JRC X Lite, cracking net for the money, like a tag that folds between the arm and locks them in place, when you net a fish, unlock the tab and just roll the net up. Edit - As below lol
I had a Quantum on of similar design for may years, that was good net too.

The best landing net I have ever had and use to this day, is the JRC X-Lite Roamer. The net was fixed to the handle with about a 8" section of handle by a spigot so you could remove the net from the handle in an instant.
And to collapse the net, you just pulled the arms slightly apart and a locking wedge dropped out that was hinged. It took about 2 or 3 seconds to both collapse the net and remove the handle when you wanted to lift the fish out the water for weighing etc.
I have never found a net with such a good system, sadly they are discontinued and I don't know why they have not kept it going to this day. But they do crop up on Ebay stil in the 45" or 50" versions

It does work but in my experience it's not great in winter. I suppose if wearing a waterproof coat it's o.k but otherwise you'll be putting a wet/pole with wet net on it on your fleece (or skin if you pull your fleece up).

I was having a bit of trouble but someone reminded of something I had done before but somehow I'd forgotten all about it.
Assuming it's a normal 2 pole net with a Y shaped spreader block.
Place you elbow/forearm area on one of the poles, using the hand of the same arm and using your elbow/forearm as a fulcrum, push the other pole away with your hand. Then use your hand of your other to slide the other pole out.
If you are using a net with one of those twistable blocks within the Y, do the same but instead of pulling the pole out twist the block.

I use a matrix spreader block and arms and it's very easy to pull the arms out with a fish in

any tips for the easiest to collapse net with a fish it . Mine are all a struggle especially in the heat !
